Thomas J. Null
Based in AOF Pacific’s Seattle office, Tom oversees the ownership interests, acquisitions and dispositions of properties outside of California, as well as new development opportunities. As Executive Vice President of AOF Pacific, he has executive responsibility for the management of the California office and lends finance expertise to the California operations. Recently, Tom has been expanding the company’s larger ownership interests and developing new opportunities for the firm’s special role as a nonprofit in the creation and preservation of affordable housing. Perhaps most importantly, he is continually working to discover and create new programs and partnerships to benefit the residents of our communities.
Prior to joining AOF Pacific, Tom spent 20 years as a public-finance investment banker, specializing in affordable housing. During that time, he originated, structured and closed over $1 billion in taxable and tax-exempt debt for state agencies, local housing authorities, for-profit developers and nonprofit corporations. He left banking to run his own consulting firm, focusing on the special role of nonprofits in the acquisition and ownership of affordable projects. His educational background includes a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Willamette University and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy with a minor in physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
